The UPS College and Career Expo was a HUGE success! The event kicked off with opening remarks from Governor Matt Bevin & Labor Secretary Derrick Ramsey regarding the importance of Registered Apprenticeships and the value of workforce development in the Bluegrass State. The doors to the show opened at 9am as thousands of students and veterans entered the exhibit hall to see what future careers awaited them. C-Tech’s booth immediately attracted students to participate in our Wireless Challenge Contest. Students came in waves to go up against their friends in a fast-paced head to head contest. Each winner was sporting a stylish C-Tech baseball cap! By 10am we had a line forming at our booth as word of the contest spread through the expo hall. Conveniently we were right next to the Best Buy’s “Geek Squad” booth which is a perfect career start for graduates of our certification programs. We had a great mix of tech enthusiasts stop by during the event and saw participation from both young men and women through the two-day event. We would like to thank the hundreds of students that helped make this event so enjoyable and we look forward to continuing to support the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s unbridled spirit.
