C-Tech | Preparing Certified Instructors
C-Tech requires that all instructors teaching our courses attend a short training session. To teach a certified program, instructors must attend a session conducted by our Master Trainer, either at the C-Tech headquarters, or private training can be held at your facility.
C-Tech Facility
We offer training at our facility in Sparta, New Jersey on a regular schedule throughout the year. The focus of the training is to familiarize you with the C-Tech training model, course administration, hands-on activities and “Best Practices” that will provide solid strategies in program delivery to your students.
Private Training
Training can also be performed by a C-Tech Certified Instructor at an off-site facility designated by a client. Training equipment can either be supplied by the client, or rented from C-Tech for the duration of training.
Professional Development
We offer web-based training for several of our programs that can be conducted at your instructor’s convenience. Additionally, refresher courses are available to keep your instructors’ skills current and up to industry standards.
Certification Options
C-Tech certified instructor training takes place throughout the year at either our corporate training facility or at customers sites. The training is designed to familiarize instructors with the methodology, structure, course administration, and to acquaint them with specialized course hardware. Instructor certification training is from one day to two days depending on the certified program. The links below provide additional information on certified instructor training.

From areas North, South & East of New Jersey and New Jersey:
- Access Interstate 80 WEST.
- Take Exit 34B, Route 15 NORTH.
- You will stay on Route 15 for approximately 11 miles.
- After passing the “Sparta Lake Mohawk Business District” you will be taking the next exit, “Sparta/Ogdensburg, Route 517”.
- At the top of the ramp, you will be making a right at the light onto Route 517 North.
- At the next light, you will be making a left onto Station Road.
- Note: You will be entering into a park with residential housing.
- Follow Station Road bearing left. You will see C-TECH on your right-hand side.
- Follow signs for Instructor Parking.
From areas West of New Jersey and western New Jersey:
- Access Interstate 80 EAST.
- Take Exit 33, Route 15. Follow signs for Route 15 NORTH.
- You will stay on Route 15 for approximately 11 miles.

Training Procedures
The Instructor Certification Process begins with the completed registration form being received by C-Tech. Please provide this document as soon as possible to ensure a seat in the class that you desire.
Training starts at 8:00 am and concludes at 4:00 pm each day. If you are taking Energy Management or Audio/Video, those classes are 1.5 days and we transition after lunch.
As part of the training experience, C-Tech provides lunch, light snacks, coffee, water, and soft drinks. Other than lunch and breaks, we will be continually busy; but those breaks in training provide you adequate time to check emails and communicate with your facility, if necessary.
The focus of the training is to familiarize you with the C-Tech training model, course administration, hands-on activities, and “Best-Practices.” We will provide you with some of the proven strategies used in the delivery of our programs.
Once a registration form is received, the instructor candidate will be provided access to the Instructor Portal. We suggest that you review the items on the portal prior to attending the training. During training, we provide reference manuals and a training notebook that can be used for notes and comments.
As part of the instructor certification process, you will be presenting a short (10-15 min) demonstration showing how you will deliver one of the program activities. Instructor training is rich in hands-on and cognitive concepts and selecting a presentation topic is easy once you are familiarized with our programs. Instructor presentations take place at the conclusion of training on Wednesdays and Fridays.
All registrations and any substitutions must be made two (2) weeks prior to the start of training. C-Tech reserves the right to cancel class two (2) weeks prior to the start of classes.
