Over 20 supporting entities attended the Plain State Jail Career Day in Dayton, TX. The goal was to help soon to be released inmates in transitioning into careers, training and support systems as they enter the “Free World”. Over 200 hundred female inmates participated in the event and many were either C-Tech certified or were in the process of completing a C-Tech certification prior to their release in May. They were all enthusiastic about their futures and their career opportunities and they were provided with information on the student portal on connecting to business strategies and additional training and career enhancement opportunities. Those who completed other training tracks also benefited from the C-Tech led discussion on employer desires and interview preparation techniques. It was a pleasure to participate in the Career Day and C-Tech wishes all good luck and the best in the future.
